MEGAN KLEVEN

Megan Kleven is a singer-songwriter from Southeastern Minnesota. She does much of her writing in a treehouse, built by her father, next to the Zumbro River. Many of her songs are influenced by the sounds of powerful and compassionate artists such as Natalie Merchant, K.D. Lang, Hozier, and Alanis Morissette. Megan began writing music while living in rural Japan, surrounded by other creatives. Since returning to the United States, creative songwriting and musical collaboration has become an integral part of her path toward self-love and positive mental health. She is currently playing in the acoustic pop duo Going Up with whom she performed at various local venues, including the Minnesota State Fair and the Mall of America. She is also a third of the SE MN songwriting trio Driftless Troubadours and is collaborating on multiple projects as part of Earling Kleven with New Jersey musician Chuck Earling. Her debut solo album “I Am” was released on July 11, 2020.
